I want to offer my condolences to Muriel and family. Ed was one of a kind and I so enjoyed chatting and laughing with him and Muriel, singing in the funeral choir at St John’s with him. It always made my day whenever I chanced to meet him "on the street” . We should all follow his example in "Living”. Rest In Peace my friend.

My most sincere condolences to Muriel & your family.
I was most saddened to hear of Ed’s passing. My only connection with Ed was through community theatre, but I enjoyed every minute of it. We had long conversations about his community involvement & volunteer projects and I greatly admired his zest for life and caring nature. May Ed rest in peace in that special place reserved for those who dedicate their life to caring for others without a second thought.
WE WILL MISS YOU.

The Town of Perth and area have lost a True Community Champion. Ed Chenard was an All-In Kind of Guy when it came to Giving Back and Helping Others. He was one of the Originator's of the Build A Mountain Of Food Campaign that started in Perth Twelve Years ago, and through his efforts, expanded to serve 11 Community Foodbanks in the immediate area, stocking Foodbank Shelves with close to One Million Pounds of Food, and over $500,000 in Cash Donations. Ed's Passion was helping others in whatever way possible. He taught us how helping others within our Hometown Communities, made those Communities a Better Place to Live and play an Active Role. He also taught the Build a Mountain of Food Crew how to Pack a Banana Box Full Of Food. A Talent We Will Carry On and Never Forget. He Built Christmas Parade Floats, Sang in Community Choirs, and made it his Mission Everyday to Look After Others First. Ed Chenard, You Taught Us that Passion, Dedication, and Love, makes the World a Better Place for All. I cherish the time we spent together, and We as Build A Mountain Of Food, along with We as a Community will Miss You, but Never Forget Your Caring Ways and Huge Heart. Rest Well My Friend. My Condolences to Muriel and Family.

My sincere sympathy to Ed's cherished wife, Cynthia and your family. I am not sure how I got to know Ed but over the years I considered Ed my friend. Maybe it was at our Community dinners, or one of the other places that Ed would have been volunteering at.Maybe it was at Stanleyville Hall after the Golf Game. Whenever a social was held, Ed was there, and likely working. I always admired Ed's smile and his kindness. Ed will be missed in the Community. May you, Ed's family, cherish your precious memories as you celebrate a life well lived.
