Obituary of Buddy Charles Jackson Sinclair
Charles "Bud" Sinclair P. Eng 1929 - 2019
On March 21, 2019, in his 90th year, Charles "Bud" Sinclair passed away peacefully in his home in the country near Portland ON. Bud is now reunited with his beloved wife Wilma Jean who he has missed dearly now for 17 years. Bud will be greatly missed by his sons Alan of Toronto and Tom (Wendy) of Ottawa, and by his daughter Carol also of Ottawa. Bud joins his eldest son Glenn who died far too young in 1985. Loving Grandpa of Alex and Julia Todd, and Peter and Andrea Sinclair. Cherished brother of Andrea (late Ron) Farley of Toronto. Andrea will most certainly miss her regular phone conversations with Bud. Brother-in-law of Bruce (late Madi) Arnold and the late Douglas (late Doreen) Arnold, all of Toronto. Born July 8, 1929 in Winnipeg and then raised in Toronto, Bud grew up during the great depression and learned very early the importance of being creative and resourceful. In 1952 Bud received his Bachelor of Engineering at the University of Toronto. He had a lifelong love of flying and held a light aircraft pilot license for many years. With the support of his community and the kindness of some truly generous neighbours, Bud was able to stay in his home and live on his terms until his death, something for which his family will be forever grateful. In the words of his dear neighbours, "Bud will be missed, but his knowledge and everyday character will be remembered". As were his wishes, a private service will be held at a later date. Those wishing may make donations to Community & Primary Health Care (CPHC) - Lanark, Leeds & Grenville.
