I am terribly saddened and shocked at the passing of Neil. He was my manager and friend at ACNielsen for almost a decade and put together a team of people who I will remember with fondness for the rest of my life. One of the most generous and kind people I knew, Neil was always up for a party, whether he was hosting or we were out for a great meal. But it wasn't just about the party. Neil was a great conversationalist, and so, so smart and well-read. There are too many memories to share here, but my favourite is of a turkey dinner where I neglected to get the bird in the oven in the early afternoon. Needless to say, we had all had too much to drink and nothing to eat, and when we sat down for our meal -- it was close to 11pm and everyone was having way too much fun. But having fun with Neil wasn't hard, he taught me how to play poker, how to work well with retailer clients, how to have fun while working hard and a lot about the monarchy. I miss you, Neil, these last 10 years since we saw each other were stupid. I should have reached out every time my email auto-complete said "Neil . . . Rose". Lesson learned, I won't ignore my instincts to reach out to good friends again. See you when I get there...
