Steven is a funny and clever guy. Where he is now, whatever he is doing, he is still and forever a funny and clever guy. But my heart was forever captured by his kind heartedness. I became his "Marm", short for Marmelade, when he was barely 10 years old. We bought our first Zelda game for Nintendo together. He rode in the back of the old station wagon, with the backward facing seat, like it was his Star Wars pod. He cheered on Brad and I as we rescued a massive turtle from certain death. We biked and swam and roller bladed....we never cooked together. I heard him drop his first f-bomb...we laughed because he shocked himself at the fluidity and joy of it. He was always the last one to fall asleep and I would ask him if he was OK before that last kiss goodnight. Good night my sweet. 'Tis but a brief dream, but it was the best of dreams and you lingering here was such a lasting moment, you truly breathed it all in. I will try to remember to do the same, so you know I did not waste it for wanting something else. Love ya kid.
