Diane, Bonnie and Rick, Paul and Debbie, Dawn Marie and Steve, and families.
I was blessed to call Blanche my friend. She and I drove all over Lanark County, and she enjoyed going anywhere anytime. We looked at photo albums, and she was most proud of her family. I commend you, her family, for giving 110% over the years, particularly in the later years. She loved sports, whether it was the Blue Jays, or hockey. She converted me to be a ball fan, and now, Bob is a fan as well. She lived a good long life, and was in good health for most of it. May she rest in peace. Shirley and Bob Scott.

I am saddened to read that Aunt Blanche passed away. I have such fond memories of her and all your family from the days we spent together at the farm, or her visits to our home. Always looked forward to her baked goodies and would take my children to buy pies at the Fair when she was there. She was a wonderful friend to my mom Mary (her sister-in-law)) and provided her with support over the years.
Thinking of you and sending love to all.

I have wonderful memories of Tom and Blanche's visit here in Vancouver many, many years ago. They loved trying out our bicycle built for two. So much laughter and many great conversations around the dining room table. More recently, it was a treat for a few of us from the West Coast to get to Perth and be taken out for lunch by Blanche after attending my daughter Kate's Grad in Kingston. And of course, in 2018 to be able to participate in celebrating Blanche's 100th birthday was an honour. She was an amazing lady who I know you all cherished. I'm certain you will all miss her terribly. As my brother John already mentioned, I remember as well listening to the long phone conversations my mom, Ursula (Tom's sister) had with Blanche, catching up with all the news. They had such a warm and enduring friendship. I'm sure Blanche is in heaven waiting for the next baseball season to start.
With condolences to the family,
Julie Lingley

Diane, Bonnie, Paul & Dawn Marie: our love and condolences to you all. Ursula (Brady) Lingley, our mother and sister-in-law to Blanche, sister to Tom, considered Blanche one of her closest friends, but alas, at a distance. We remember the two of them talking for hours on the phone, and this was back in the 50's and 60's when Perth-Vancouver phone calls were not cheap!
The summer I spent on Tom and Blanche's farm in 1957 was one of the most wonderful times of my life. Blanche and Tom took me in when my father was hospitalized with polio and Ursula had her hands full with the 5 of us kids. Blanche and Tom did not bat an eye when Ursula asked if that would be possible. That was who Blanche was.
