We wish to express our sincere condolences to the Cavanagh family--we had been hoping and praying he would regain his health. Bill was in grade 9 and 10 with me at St John's. He would sometimes get into a bit of trouble because he would not stop talking after one of the nuns asked everyone "to be quiet". However, it didn't take him long before he was smiling again... and talking. Bill was a very kind hearted man. We are sorry for your loss.

I knew Jim and Helen and all the family, there were many times on the third line and at the store and even Christy Lake when we crossed paths. I just lost my wife so I know sympathy does not solve the pain, however we can share it, hope that will help.

To Brenda and the Cavanagh Family,
It was a shock to hear of Bill's passing. He was just seven years into retirement with the prospect of many good years ahead.
We worked together as partners and friends for many years. His sound judgement, honesty and integrity were the driving force that governed the excellence of his business skills. His humour, patience and shared investment knowledge earned respect from his clients as well as his colleagues at work.He was a top notch manager.
Heather and I send our deep condolences to you Brenda and your family.
Sincerely
Brian Ayer

It was with great sadness to hear of your dad passing. Knowing Jennifer and Christine and hearing all the wonderful times the family shared together will be great memories. Jennifer always talked how lucky she was to have such a great mom and dad also to have Christine, Scott and her niece and nephew and Pat to share her life with. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. God has given you an angel to look over all of you for now and forever.

Brenda: Peter and are heart broken for you and your family. We have been missing Bill's chuckle, his quiet grace, his smile, since you left Brantford. It's wonderful that you got to spend these retirement years in a place he loved so much. We will be thinking of you, and are so sorry for your loss. He was a gentle soul, and a gentleman in every sense of those words.

Ruth and I would like to offer our condolences to Brenda and all the Cavanagh family.
I was fortunate to have Bill as a friend. We not only attended school and socialized together, but we had the pleasure of sharing time, when we both lived in Ottawa and Toronto. Bill was an usher when Ruth and I were married and we attended Bill and Brendas’ wedding. We kept in contact after we had families and Ruth and I were fortunate to visit Bill and Brenda at their homes in Brantford and at Christie Lake. Bill and Brenda were one of our first visitors in Fort Myers. It is comforting to know that the Cavanaghs are a strong and close family that will support each other, in this time of sorrow. We will miss Bill.

This is very sad to learn. I had the opportunity to work with Bill as a partner from roughly 1980 to 1990. I consider him a friend and I could not ask for a better person to share our successes with. We worked hard and we had fun. I wished Bill a long and healthy retirement but obviously that was not to be. I remember that Bill's dad passed away at a younger age and had hoped that Bill would enjoy many more years of retirement. I had often hoped to see him again should he visit Brantford. I think of Bill and Brenda and their family often with love in my heart. Love and Hugs to all the family....Art Meens
