Jean, so sorry to learn of your loss of Earl, a true gentleman. I often think of the wonderful gatherings at the Christie Lake cottages yours or Jean and Colin's .Lot's of great memories of the Darby ~ Adrain ~ Harris ~ Tuijtel get togethers. You and Earl always made Lynda and I feel like family.

So sorry to hear of Earl’s passing. Much love to Jean and family. I have good memories of visits in Oakville and Smiths Falls and Perth. So many wonderful happy times. We will always treasure our friendship with the Darby/Adrain family. Gary and Earl enjoyed their regular trips to Perth to curl. I had the pleasure of working with Earl for 20 years in insurance. He was an excellent salesperson, with an eye for detail and always trying to do what was best for the client. He also excelled in woodworking, and made name signs for his fellow staff members. Earl had a good sense of humour and loved his dark chocolate with almonds or hazelnuts.
Earl was dedicated to his family, especially to his lovely bride, Jean. They were one of the cutest couples I have ever met. I will miss our visits and those shortbread cookies Earl used to make for Christmas.
To all of Earl's family, Brian and I wish to express our sincere condolences. Earl will be missed!
