Dear Dawn, Cameron, Stephen, Trudy and your families,
We were so saddened to hear the news that Doug had passed. He was a gentle giant with a kind soul. As teenagers, we were grateful that his parents welcomed us to their home with open arms, and Doug was always happy to play host. Many shared adventures are fondly remembered.
With miles and years between us, we had lost touch, but John and I were happy to visit with Dawn and Doug at Gail and Dave’s a few summers ago, when we were visiting Ontario.
We know Doug will be deeply missed by all those he connected with on his life’s journey. Our hope is that the love of family and friends will buoy you up during this time of loss.
