When we went to our Church Service once a month at Lanark Lodge Mae always felt better if she could hold someone hand so most of the time I sat beside her And held her hand she was quite contented to sit there till church was over She was a lovely lady

My sincere condolences to all of Mae’s family.I will always remember Mae’s laugh and smile. When visiting my brother at Lanark Lodge I would quite often meet Mae in the hallways and I always saw that happy disposition that I fondly remember when we lived at White.

My deepest sympathies on Mae's passing. Like many others have posted, I too had the pleasure of playing cards with Mae whether it be at Grandma Gladys's kitchen table or at the Tatlock hall. I found this photo of Mae and Gladys taken at Gladys's 90th birthday party (June 2018) that I wanted to share with you. Mae always had a smile on her face and this is how I will remember her.

Every memory I have as a child you are part of it. You accepted a little boy to your home with the love that fills my heart to this day and for all days. You taught me right from wrong as needed. Especially to never cheat at cards. A light tap across the knuckles with a tea spoon fixed that real quick lol. You and grandpa never hesitated to take me on a stroll through the bush either to hunt, trapping, picking berries or cutting cedar. Of course the berry picking was my favourite. You made the best berry preserves ever. Along with your legendary home made bread made it a snack that goes unmatched to this day. Any time myself or anyone would visit there was always an offer for a meal or a snack. Whatever you had you offered to family or a complete stranger. Along with a conversation or story that I will dearly miss. Sometimes even the same story twice lol. But I would always listen intently because the love I felt and feel for you is unconditional. When the day comes that I am blessed with grandchildren I hope that I am somewhere close to the grandparents you and grandpa were. I hope and pray that you are with grandpa right now sitting around the kitchen table playing cards and drinking a tea. Leave a chair pulled out for me please. I will see you in awhile and you can deal me in. All my love, your baby boy, Cory.
