It is with the greatest sorrow that we announce Angie’s sudden passing on June 1, 2021.The beautiful and loving wife of Seppie Baker and the devoted mother to her beloved daughter Nicole Purcell. Angie was the dedicated daughter of Rita (nee Murphy) and the late Ralph “Bud” Purcell. She is survived by her big sister Tammy and brother-in-law Bob Mulrooney, their children Bob (Breanna) and Ben; her big brother Greg and sister-in-law Angie (nee Hogan) and their children Jessica, Derek and Amy. Angie was predeceased by her oldest brother Joe. Survived by his wife Bev (nee Shepheard) and their children Ryan, Jordan (Kirsten), Jason (Cassie). She is also survived by 4 great nephews, 1 great niece and a second one due in September. She leaves behind a large extended family whose love and friendship she cherished through the years. Angie had an unlimited capacity to care about people and animals. She was a “Mom” to many “kids” regardless of their age, always freely giving her heart, home, and support. Many of those young people remained deep in her heart through the years and her love for them never wavered. Arrangements have been entrusted to Blair & Son Funeral Directors in Smiths Falls. Due to Covid restrictions, the funeral service is limited to invitation only. The services will be available live through Zoom and a recording of the funeral will be posted on the website. We have arranged two drive through visitations for anyone to join a procession to Angie and the family to give final condolences. Visitors must wear a face mask and remain in their vehicles but are welcomed/encouraged to stop and share a few words with the family. The visitations will take place on Monday, June 7 2021 from 12-2pm and 4-6pm for anyone wanting to participate. In lieu of flowers, per Angie’s request, donations on her behalf to Furry Tales Cat Rescue or Lanark Animal Welfare Society are greatly appreciated.
