Sarah your mom always told me I gave the best hugs but it was her hugs that were amazing and at times when I needed them.
I’m truly blessed to have met her…she always made time for me and I absolutely loved sitting and chatting with her.

As a childhood friend of her daughter’s I have many great memories of my “Auntie Rene” (as she liked to be called). Years of sleepovers with Sarah, dancing in the basement, chats and laughs over tea in their family kitchen; so many good times. Kay was a caring and kind soul, motherly to all and a joyful yet calming presence for those around her. My heart goes out to John, Johnny and Sarah.
Condolences from all the McLellan family.

I’m so sorry for your loss. My memories of Kay are all filled with her cheery, caring and bubbly personality. Sarah, I know how much you loved your time spent with your mom. You had that special mother daughter bond that was apparent to everyone around you. She was your biggest fan, and you hers. You will cherish that relationship always. ❤️
Send you big hugs! xo

I worked with Kay in Admitting and spent many days with her laughing and chatting... She was truly a gem! We joked about her Royal blue pouch that she kept her tea supply in! I am so sorry for your loss.... please know we are thinking of you at this difficult time.

Sarah… I just heard the news about your mom and I’m heartbroken for you. I have so many fun memories of your mom when we were kids. Bringing tea to us in the morning before your paper route, buttering saltine crackers for us, letting us eat Tums like candy, calling me “Jode”… so many things. I loved your mom and she was a huge part of my childhood. I’m so sad to know she’s gone. Sending you the biggest hugs. xo

I have alot of amazing memories of you Auntie Rene from over the years. You and Sarah coming over and staying at Nannie's, myself and Simon spending time in Canada with you and the family and you came over to England and met Lucas when I was pregnant with Glenn.
You always had a smile and made people laugh, a kind and loving lady who will be missed so much.
Lots of love Emma, Simon, Lucas and Glenn

Everything I’ve ever observed, known or heard about Kay revolves around warmth and kindness. She did many sweet things for my children despite only meeting my eldest once. Sarah has shared many stories about her mother including how doting she was through her childhood, how proud she was of all Sarah’s accomplishments and how enjoyable and silly their special nights out were in Ottawa. I know she will truly be missed and am sorry this world has lost such a beautiful person, but I’m honoured to share in her memories.
