Grant & the Chaplin families, please accept our deepest condolences. Gary helped us greatly after the passing of our mother (Muriel) and showed us how much families meant in these times of sorrow. His memory will last forever in the minds and hearts of his friends and all who knew him.

I was so sad to hear of Gary’s passing. I only heard a couple of days before how unwell he was. I knew Gary from working at the perth courthouse. I loved his dry droll sense of humour....so naturally when suggesting dates to him for, well anything, I couldn’t help but suggest the first two weeks of November. He always got it. He will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathies.

Grant, I was so sorry to learn of Gary's passing.
Although, I only got to know him through his senior years on the sport fields at PDCI.
I know that his family and many friends will miss him.
I hope to see you again at the yearly event that Mrs. Roberts has over the Christmas period.
Take care.

To the Chaplin Family,
Our deepest condolences respecting the loss of your beloved Gary. Fond memories are recalled when Gary used to attend the Perth Land Registry office. He was always such a quiet gentleman with a wonderful sense of humour. It was such a pleasure knowing his late wife, Pat. We had dinner with Gary & Pat at a retirement function at Merrywood Camp several years ago & there was much laughter at the table initiated by Gary's dry sense of humour. May he rest in peace.

Sorry to hear of Gary's passing. Brings back memories of many many years back when we all used to hang around together. Gary was a great man and we lost touch when I moved away. Often thought fondly of Gary. May he rest in peace.

My condolences to the Chaplin family. I got to know Gary when I worked at Foodsmiths. He had a very dry sense of humour and our conversations were ones I always enjoyed. My heart goes out to you all.

Lots of laughs and memories of when my brother Bob and Gary "Wilt", went to UNB together and that was preceded by their years at PDCI as well. They kept in touch until Bob's passing in 1987. I always considered Gary to be one of Bob's best friends. One of the last visits that I had with Gary was just prior to a trip that he and Grant were going on and he was so excited. My deepest sympathy to you Doris, Grant and family. Gary will be missed by many.

Our love and prayers are with you Grant, your dear mother and family. Gary spoke to me often about his appreciation for you and admiration of you Grant and how much he enjoyed the trips you took together over the past few years. I last visited him Wed evening. The nurse told me he could hear and understand what I was saying to him. I had a special time of blessing with him, reminiscing of our times together on the golf course and at our home and at his home etc. I told him that his life was a life well lived as he had made such a positive impact in so many lives. Upon my departure, I prayed over him and called him "Good Buddy".

I have the fondest memories of Gary from residence together at UNB, all-night cribbage games, hitchhiking back to Ottawa, and much lighthearted laughter at no one's expense. He was a lovely guy who went on to a full life. God speed.
