Smith,  George Robert

With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to an amazing father, grand-father, and friend. George passed away peacefully at Perth Community Care Centre surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at the age of 81 years. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Becky in 2018. George was the dear brother of Murray (Pat) Smith, predeceased by sisters Helen Devlin, Agnes Giles, Betty Taylor and Dorothy Paterson. He was the loving and devoted father of Jeff (Angie) Smith, Dale (Geralynne) Smith, proud grandfather and #1 hockey fan of his four grandchildren Brett (Dani) Smith, Spencer Atkinson-Smith, Braeden Smith and Rachel Smith. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all the wonderful staff at Perth Community Care Centre for their exceptional care and compassion. In remembrance, contributions to The Canadian Cancer Society Wheels of Hope program would be appreciated.  Due to covid restrictions, the services will be held privately for the family.  Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Perth.  "There are no goodbyes for us.
