Peterson, Harlan “Pete”
Pete had 28 years of service with the Royal Canadian Air Force and 10 years with the Department of National Defense.
Pete passed away peacefully at Lanark Lodge, on Sunday, July 4th, 2021 at the age of 90. Beloved husband for over 64 years to the late Patricia Peterson (Young). He was the loving father of Christine (Ronald) MacLaren, Karen Peterson, Kathrine (James) McHale, Deborah Stoate (Michelle), Stephen (Helen) Petersen and Dianne (Ray) Elderbroom. Pete was the cherished Grandfather of Paul, Kim (Keith), Tom (Stephanie), Matthew, Jeffrey, Lisa (Derek), Kevin, Tiffany, Kurtis, Tanner, Eric, Alyssa, and Nicholas (Lauren) and his great-grandchildren Nathaniel, Owen, Ella, Cameron, Addison, Ryan, Iyla and Rylie. He was the beloved brother of Bobby, Bea, Dennie, Doreen and Grant, the late Gordie and the late Eleanor. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Dad was a hardworking, wonderful provider for his family. He was so proud of and thankful for all of his children and their families. The Canadian Armed Forces was a meaningful and huge part of his life.
To Dad’s other family, the residents and staff of Lanark Lodge, words cannot express how thankful we are for your care and dedication. We hope you all know how special you were to him.
Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth on Thursday, July 8th, 2021 from 10:00am until the time of his funeral Mass in the chapel at 11:00am.
