We may not have known Curtis as well as so many of you, but we did have the good fortune to share a connection with him about 6 years ago when he adopted a little beagle named Rosie through our beagle rescue. There have been excited adopters before, but Curtis was absolutely over the moon! He even hand-made little steps for her so she could access the people furniture. And that was before she even arrived. After she moved in, there were happy updates shared and pictures and even a video of Rosie excited about a visit to Grandma's house. Curtis brought so much love into Rosie's life, perhaps for the first time ever. Sadly, Rosie passed far too soon but she definitely left this world knowing she was loved completely. The Memorial Tribute that Curtis created for her (pic attached) is a testament to that love.
We don't always know the impact we make on other people. I'm sure a special person like Curtis would have made a tremendous impact on so many people in his life and I'm absolutely certain he made an impact on Rosie no matter how brief their time together. I'd like to think they're reunited now.
All our love and sympathy go out to all who loved Curtis, especially his family.
