Donaldson, Richard Edward (Dick) Dick passed away at home on Monday, July 29, 2019. Dearest husband of loving wife Elizabeth. Predeceased by his parents Jean and Ed Donaldson, his sister Colleen, infant son Shawn, granddaughter Zoe and his first wife Anita. Proud father of Cheryl (Hugh), Brent (Donna), Kim (John), Lorrie (Len), Angela and stepfather of Chris and Eric (Brenda). Dick was also cherished by his niece Alison and her family. Loving grandfather of Leah & Laura, Isaac & Rachel, Thomas & Kelly-Ann, Christopher & Katie, Ben, Jack & Janessa and great grandfather of Evie Rose. He will be sadly missed by his brother Shane (Linda) and sister Vera. Dick succumbed to Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) in the home he was so proud of, which was the gathering spot for family and friends. How he enjoyed every visit. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls on Friday, August 2, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be a funeral service on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Church. Interment, Hillcrest Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions in Dick’s name may be made to the 585th Squadron Air Cadets or Trinity United Church. Members of the Royal Canadian Air Force Association # 443 Wing and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #95 will hold Services of Remembrance at the funeral home on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
