Imeson, William George "Willy"

Passed away at his home in Smiths Falls, on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at the age of 74.  Willy is predeceased by his parents Olga (nee Warren) and George Imeson.  He will be sadly missed by his brother David (Donna) Imeson, his many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews and beloved cousins.  Willy proudly served in Germany for the Canadian Military with the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery. Upon his return home he worked many years with the CP Rail, keeping the crossing signals safe and up to date along the rail lines in Northern Ontario. He faithfully served as a Commissionaire with the Canadian Defense Department, located at Dwyer Hill Road.  In retirement, Willy worked for and played regularly at the Smiths Falls Golf and Country Club, where he had many friends that will miss him greatly. He also loved his outings to Lanark to play hockey with quite a cast of characters whom he regarded as good friends. There will be a Celebration of Life to take place at a later date. Private family interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund.
