Blair, John Gilbert
John passed away peacefully at the Perth hospital on Friday, November 5th, 2021 with his family by his side. He was born in Belleville, Ontario and lived all his life in the Perth area. John is survived by his sisters Norma (Don) Cooke and Susan (late Gordon) Warwick as well as numerous, caring nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Gilbert and Lois (Kennedy) Blair and his brother David Blair.
John was employed at the Heritage Silversmith until its closing and from there did odd jobs as available. Along the way he made many friends and always had a smile and hello for everyone he met. The family wish to extend a heartfelt thankyou to Bob and Wendy who were Johns dear, valued friends and without whom his journey would have been even more difficult. Sincere thanks to Jennifer, Colleen and Laura, the doctors and nursing staff at Perth hospital and Stewart and staff at Blair & Son.
Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. West, Perth on Wednesday, November 10th, 2021 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. followed by a service in the Chapel at 2:00 P.M.
In remembrance of John, if desired, donations to St. Stephen’s Anglican Church Cemetery, Brooke or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
Proof of double vaccination will be required for all attending the visitation or funeral.
