Echlin, Leonard Reginald
Leonard passed away peacefully at the Perth site of the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital on Tuesday, November 16th, 2021 at the age of 76 years.  Diane (Elliott) was the loving and devoted wife of Leonard for 55 years.  He was the cherished father of Shelley (Tony DiBartolomeo), Peter (Kellie Mather) and Kevin (Kyla Pennie) and the fun loving grandfather of Calista, Gage, Kobe, Luke, Tiegann, Kiye, Jasmaya, Avaia and Anouk.
Leonard was the son of the late Kate (Echlin) and Garnet Sargeant.  He will be sadly missed by his siblings Norma (late Don Melanson), late Donna Barr, Darleen Sargeant (Ray Storie), Rick (Joan) Sargeant and his many nieces and nephews.
Leonard was known as the best damn barber in Lanark for over 40 years.  He served his community as Councillor and Reeve for a total of 35 years.  Leonard was a long serving member of the Evergreen Masonic Lodge in Lanark and the Lanark Legion.  He loved the family cottage at Sheridan's Rapids and later he and Diane retired there.
The family will gather at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. West, Perth on Saturday, November 20th, 2021 from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M.  followed by the funeral service in the Chapel at 11:00 A.M.  Proof of double vaccination will be required for all attending the visitation or funeral.  A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends in the upcoming year.
