Fern passed away peacefully in hospital, Perth on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the age of 66. Beloved partner of Susan Moulton, loved father of Matthew Ranger, Nadine Ranger and step-father of Leanne, Jessie, Billy and David. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Johnathan, Alex, Callie, Ellie, Matteo, Mikayla and Johnathan. Devoted brother to Charles (Joeanne), Dennis (Cathy), Raymond (Loretta), Andrew Ranger and Ann Hitchcock. Predeceased by his parents George and Solange (Tovett) Ranger and siblings Ron, Paul and Evelyne. Fern was a stonemason for many years with various companies including George Cross and Coff Masonry. He restored many historical buildings around the town. Fern enjoyed socializing and had many friends and acquaintances all around the area. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Family and friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith Street North, Smiths Falls on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a service in the chapel at 3:00 p.m. and burial to follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery.
