I met Gladys years ago when I joined the Perth Handbell Choir. On my first day I was so overwhelmed. It had been years since I last read music. I thought I would quietly leave when no one was looking. Well…..Gladys somehow knew my agenda and she stopped me in my tracks. She told me to just give it 2 weeks and decide then whether or not to continue. That was great advice as I have rung bells for 18 years.

Most sincere condolences on the passing of your sweet and beautiful Mother. Gladys was such a gracious, kind and wise woman. Since I met her in 2010, I have enjoyed hearing so many stories about how she worked while raising her 6 children, all the while being a great cook and baker, and involved in her community, particularly at the ABC Hall. She was such a strong woman and what an inspiration she was.
She will always be loved and never forgotten. May you find consolation in all the cherished memories and knowing she has touched many lives, mine included.

Your mom's photo , even with her perfect grey hair , is exactly as I remember her from our days growing up on the farm in the Bolingbroke community where the neighbours knew each other, looked out for each other and were always ready to lend a hand .
