Obituary of Lilias Anne Stead
Stead, Lilias Anne (nee Rodger)
Lilias passed away peacefully at Almonte Country Haven on Sunday, January 16th, 2022 at the age of 94 years. She was predeceased by her parents Edward and Annie Rodger and by her beloved husband Harold Stead in 2020. Lilias is the loving mother of Marilyn (Steve) Latourell, Murray (Nancy) and Marvin Stead and cherished grandmother of Rebecca and Stephanie Latourell (Mike Cross); Tyler (Bernadette), Taralyn Buchanan (Dan), Tracey (Doug Wilson); Matthew and Mark (Angie) Stead. She is the great-grandmother of Avia, Damien, Ayslen Buchanan, Liam Stead and Benjamin Stead. Lilias is survived by her sisters-in-law Mildred Munro (late Welly) and Helen Stead (late Leonard). She was predeceased by her sister Ivy Hanna (late Bob) and her brothers and sisters-in-law Frank (Kaye) Stead and Earl (Dorothy) Stead.
Lilias will be fondly remembered by her extended family and many friends. She is now free of pain and finally reunited with her husband. Special thank you to the staff at Almonte Country Haven for their care and support.
Due to COVID regulations the service will be held privately for the family followed by interment in Hopetown Cemetery.
