Welz, Rudolf (Ralph)

October 10, 1933 – January 24, 2022

Passed peacefully on January 24, 2022 at the Smiths Falls Hospital at the age of 88. Predeceased by his wife Dorothy O’Shea. Beloved step-father to Murray (Kathy) and Wayne (Leah), predeceased by Linda (Roy) Plews and Wendy. Loving step-grandfather to eight and step-great-grandfather to nine. Rudy is predeceased by his brother Bernhart and survived by his sister-in-law Helga Welz and nieces Annette (Ruediger) Hinze and Katrin (Bernd) Bredenbeck in Germany.  By family request, proof of double vaccination will be required to attend all events.  Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 112 Beckwith St., N., Smiths Falls on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 10 -12 Noon.  The funeral service will take place in the chapel at 12 noon, for those wishing to attend the funeral, please email Michael Herbert at mlherbert@xplornet.com or call 613-283-8851 to confirm your attendance by Thursday.  The funeral will also be streamed and recorded on Ralph’s obituary page www.blairandson.com.
