Obituary of Kendell Arthur Mason
On February 16, Kendell Arthur Mason in his 77th year passed peacefully in hospital with his son, James at his side.
Caring husband of Dianne Fader. Very proud papa of Hayley Dunlay, Rose and Gracie Mason and Priya Burns. Longtime friend of Dennis Gordon and Clifford Stoddard.
Dear brother of Leon (Faye), Leona (Don), Daphne, Garnet (Elaine) and Goldie (Don). Beloved son of David and Carrie Mason (Baker). Survived by many nieces and nephews.
Kendell was born on Tancook Island, Nova Scotia to family that had built schooners and pleasure boats for generations. The family moved to Ontario to supply pleasure boats to the Ontario market in the 1950s. He had retail stores in Ottawa, Lombardy and Portland.
Due to COVID restrictions, service and interment at St. John’s Cemetery will be held privately in the spring. Those wishing, are asked to consider memorial donations to The Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation.
