Sincere sympathy to the extended Kelly clan. I never met Elmer but knew all about him and Maurice (Moe) who I met at the Canadian Police College. I delivered a paper to their parents home in Campbellford as a youth and lived one street over. As a result I was in the house nearly daily when David Kelly and his late brother spent the summers in Campbellford. In the old barn/garage was a motorcycle and a pair of goggles which I believe belonged to Elmer. Mr and Mrs Kelly were great people and hard workers. Fay was a long time friend of my mother. The stories I heard of the brothers prompted me to join the RCMP in 1966 and I am also a S/Sgt. retired. RIP Elmer.

Dear Kelly Family, We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Elmer. Please pass on our condolences to Dorothy, Marilyn, Darlene and the rest of the family. Dorothy & Elmer were good friends of my parents Doreen & John Wood. They go way back and Elmer actually sang at their wedding in 1960. We also have fond memories of “Santa” coming for a visit and my two young boys, Zack & Brent kind of freaking out and hugging “Santa” and not letting go. Elmer will be sorely missed, Stuart Wood

Dorothy My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Elmer was such a kind, engaging man open to everything and always including everyone. I remember the good old days when the chorus was in its infancy. All the shows, conventions and especially the afterglows - part of the fellowship and fun of belonging to the Capital City Chorus.
