Obituary of Leona Elizabeth Jones

It is with profound sadness that we have had to say good-bye to our sweet, loving, and amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend to many.  Leona passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 at the age of 95, at Broadview Retirement Lodge. 

She will be dearly missed by her daughters Marlyn (late Gary) Clarke and Judy (late Sidney) Charles.  She was predeceased by her son Douglas Jones, her parents Charles and Minerva Jackson; her sisters Margaret (Wilbert) Monette, Muriel (Clifton) Black and her brother Ken (Joan) Jackson.  

She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren and their families; Cathy (Barry) Botham, Kevin (Bronwyn) Charles, Jeffrey (Ainsley) Charles, Pamela (Devin) Adamson, Jamie Valcour, Jennifer (Jeff) Krack and Jason Jones. She was a proud great-grandmother to 15 and great-great grandmother to 3. Leona will also be fondly remembered by Douglas' wife Wendy Jones. 

Leona's family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Broadview Retirement Lodge and the home support girls of Bayshore Community Care, for their kind and loving care of Leona in her final years.

As per Leona's wishes, there will be a private family graveside service at St. John's Cemetery in Innisville at a later date.
