Obituary of Annette Beaulieu

Beaulieu, (Marie) Annette

Peacefully at home on Saturday, May 14, 2022. Born January 23, 1944 in Port Hope, Ontario. Beloved wife of Jean Louis Beaulieu for 45 years. Loving mother of Nadine Beaulieu (Bob Sun) Vancouver and Nicole Beaulieu-Belliveau (Peter) of Dartmouth and cherished grandson Simon James Belliveau. Predeceased by Jean Louis and her brother John (Linda), and sister Cecile (Clare), and her parents Donat & Helene Boudreau of Ontario. Survived by her brother Claude (Mary Lou), sister Paulette (Peter), as well as her many beloved nieces, grand nieces and nephews and grand nephews. Annette attended University at University of Windsor for a bachelor of Education while a novice sister at Sisters of Saint Joseph (Sister) and continued on to University of Ottawa to obtain her masters degree in Education. She was a teacher and a mentor to hundreds of children throughout the community in her 27 year career, at Chimo Elementary, St. Francis De Sales Elementary, and St. Joseph’s Elementary. Selflessly creating and operating a Breast Cancer Support Group for 15 years while selflessly advocating for any that needed her. Volunteering with Meals on Wheels, Christmas food hampers for the church, and anything anyone was in need of. She could be found most warm summer days with her hands in the dirt, tending to her stunning flower gardens or sharing a good time with friends on the deck. She won multiple awards at the Smiths Falls Pickle Festival, best known for her Dills, Bread and Butter, and her Jalapeno Gold Jelly. She was quick witted, kind, loving and generous, and her door was always open to all family and friends. She was a great lover of bridge, flowers, food, and friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Hendry, Father Rod McNeil, the wonderful caregivers from Bayshore, and most of all, friends and family who offered so much support and thoughtfulness. God Bless you all! A gathering to celebrate her life and love will be held at the Beaulieu Residence, 20 Gladstone Avenue, Smiths Falls, June 4th, 2022 from 1 to 4 p.m. If you so desire, memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society and/or the Heart & Stroke Society would be appreciated by the family.
