Paul Francis Donovan 

Passed away peacefully at the Smiths Falls Hospital, with his wife and daughter at his side on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the age of 74. 

Paul Francis Donovan, beloved husband of Joanne McCulloch. Proud and loved father of Corry (Scott) Goddard and the late Christopher Donovan. Cherished brother of Stanton (Ellie Griffiths) Donovan, Maureen (Glen) Lumsden, the late Mark Donovan and Bernadette (the late James) Burgess. Predeceased by his parents Frank and Norma Donovan and sister-in-law Beth Donovan. Fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Beverly Donovan, his nieces and nephews, the McCulloch family and his many dear and life-long friends. 

Paul was a quiet and unassuming person who would do anything for you. He enjoyed visiting with others, listening to music, playing and watching sports, reading books, taking a drive, travelling, going for walks, playing pool and having a good game of cards especially with his Thursday pals. He had a good life. 

The family offers special thanks to Paul’s KGH Cancer Clinic Team, and to the caring staff at the Smiths Falls District Hospital in the Emergency, ICU and Med-Surg Departments for Paul’s care while briefly in hospital. 

As per Paul’s wishes cremation has taken place. A casual Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022, from 4 to 6pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 475 in Toledo. The wearing of masks would be appreciated by the family. In memory of Paul, those wishing are asked to consider a donation to the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital Foundation, Smiths Falls Site or the Merrickville Public Library.
