Obituary of John Francis Halpin

Halpin, John “Johnny” F.

Passed away peacefully at the Smiths Falls Hospital on Thursday, September 29, 2022, surrounded by his family at the age of 96.  Beloved husband and best friend of the late Dianne (nee Meade). Loving and devoted father of Bruce (Cindy) Halpin and Margo (Doug) Loughren. Cherished grandfather of Deena (Luke) Bell and Jason (Jamie) and Kris Loughren. He is also predeceased by his parents William and Kathleen Halpin and his sister Margaret Ruiter. Johnny will be sadly missed by his siblings Marie Sylvah and Len Halpin, as well as his extended family and many friends in Smiths Falls and the surrounding communities.  There will be a Celebration of Life taking place at Rob Roy’s Pub and Restaurant on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 from 12 noon to 3 p.m.  A private family interment has taken place at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery next to his beloved Dianne.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
