Denise, Andrea, Bryce, Barb and Jim,
I was saddened to learn of your mother's passing. Grayce was one of the people whom I felt lived up to her name--she was frequently laughing, always caring and ever gracious.
I count myself fortunate to be able to teach with such a welcoming and approachable colleague. One visit to her Phys Ed office, and you'd be set to take on the world. It was wonderful to talk with her, watch her with her students and athletes, and listen to her stories of her kids and Bob. She was one of the most positive, enjoyable people I've met over the years.
I know you'll miss her, but you'll have all those good memories of her and your dad.
You have my sincerest condolences,
Diana King

Grace and Bob
Gracious, caring people that they are gave me the great gift of friendship and a place to lay my head when I was between contracts and raising a family in Deep River back in the mid 90’s. I had a assumed a contract left vacant at the Rideau River Conservation Authority and they found me a ride to work each day with a fellow co-worker who lived out Jasper way. We knew each other through the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry Association and had served the Regiment at different times in our lives but the bond to the Regimental Family was strong. Grace and Bob as they are both intertwined in my memory always had a kind word and took an interest in the younger Patricia’s in the area. A very fond memory of mine is singing the regimental songs with them in a Colonels kitchen in Almonte with my daughter Rachel perched on my shoulders as we celebrated the Regimental birthday. Another great memory is from the time Grace, her daughters and son-in law joined me watching a hockey game being played on the Rideau Canal to celebrate a Korean endeavor between the Canadian Regiments in The Korean War called Kapyong where Bob had served.

Andrea, Barb and family,
So sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. Loved having her as a high school gym teacher. Recent years we would usually meet in the grocery store and her face would just light up when I would say “hey Mrs. Muir!” She always had a warm smile and we would have a lovely chat. I will miss seeing her. Sincere condolences to you all.

To the Muir Family,
I have such fond memories of Grayce, she loved the game of volleyball, and through her we did as well!!
I was also fortunate to have Mr Muir one year as my junior coach, they were such a loving couple!
When I ran into her out and about she always had such a big smile! She always looked so good, so fashionable!!
Always asked about my life! She was very special, as I’m sure you all are aware of that!
Pat and I are sending you all our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Denise, Andrea and families...I have some fond high school memories of Grayce but the one that tickles me most was the high school girl get together that she attended not that long ago. She was as witty and charming as ever and she was perhaps just as amused by all of us. I hope that happy memory and all your others bring some comfort to you all.

Sending sincere condolences to you all at this sad time. Mrs. Muir was one of my Phys. Ed. Teachers and volleyball coach and I so enjoyed having her. She was a special teacher and coach and very well suited to her career. I know many people in and around Smiths Falls had the privilege of her knowledge. Over her retirement years I would run into Mrs. Muir, from time to time, and she always had a smile and the time to stop and talk. I am sorry I could not attend her service today but I was able to view it and it was a beautiful tribute to a lovely lady. Thinking of all her children … take good care and hold tight to your wonderful memories to help you in the days and weeks ahead.

Dear Jim and family: so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom/Grandmother. Although we never met her, it is clear from all the tributes posted here she was a very dynamic and popular person and was probably very influential in Jim's extensive vocabulary and story telling abilities :). May you find peace knowing she had a long and full life and touched the lives of many others.

Dear Andrea & Siblings,
I feel so fortunate to have seen and chatted with your Mother at the Goose several weeks ago. In typical Grayce style, she enjoyed meeting with friends and was so interesting and "newsy" with all of us. My husband, Denis, and I first met Grayce at the now defunct New Horizons Club, and we so appreciated her energy and participation in the plays, travel and other activities at the Club. She was just a "fun" person to spend time with -- she will be missed.
Please accept my sympathy in Grayce's passing - she so loved all her children.

So many great memories of Grace and Bob. My dearest volleyball coach and I was able teach her aquafit. Living in the village of Jasper we got to visit often. Bob and Grace would buy fitness equipment yearly at Christmas and wanted it delivered Christmas Eve. I was offered a martini and thought I was getting a margarita. I was shock to see the olive in the bottom as I can’t stand olives. But I choked it down to be polite and will always remember that night. Grace was a lovely lady and will always be remembered. God Bless and RIP. I was fortunate enough t to say good bye the night before she died. Our thoughts and prays are with all the family.

My heart and thoughts go out to Grayce's family. Grayce was elegant, curious and a wonderful listener. She loved learning new things and always made you feel like you were the most important person during the moments you spent talking to her. Grayce loved life, had more energy than most people half her age and always looked on the bright side of life. I'll miss her laugh, her zest, compassion for others and our wonderful conversations. Grayce you made good people as well...forever grateful to Andrea for allowing me to be a part of your world. Our first meeting was malt bread and eggs in your kitchen and I fell in love. Greatly missed and always remembered xo
