Our deepest condolences to the Barr family. My father, Jimmy Kanelakos, and I were members of Kamloops Fishing Camp with Ken and shared several years sharing visits in the camp. The great trout fishing ( and exaggerated fish stories), early morning coffees around an old wood stove, great meals with infused wine and all followed by into the early morning card games were all part of the wonderful memories. Rest in peace Kenny..

Thinking of the extended Barr family as you grieve the death of the current Patriarch of the family. Having gone all through school together and spent many hours on Otty Lake together either playing board games or trying to get up on water skis behind the Barr's 25hp - now think of the speed of those motors!! My memories of Ken are of a gentle , rather shy guy with lots of charisma. May you all find comfort in each other as you tell tales and share memories of Ken together.
Blessings! Barbara (Church) Bolton in Subury

Ken was an example of a kind, devoted, and gentle father.
He showed what it was to love your family, to enjoy their company, to have fun and to laugh with them.
I will always be grateful for his patience and generosity.
I hope to be loved as much by my children...
And to be as patient with the idiots they date when they are too young to know better.

Dear Jean and family, please accept our sincerest sympathy and condolences. He is one soul who will be missed by the many who knew him.

Have known Ken for most of my life. We graduated from PCI at the same time. After some consideration I decided to go to UNB on the urging of a mutual friend, Tom Stephenson who was studying forestry there. It happened that I was getting gas one day and asked Ken what he was going to do. He seemed hesitant and somewhat unsure so I talked him into applying even though it was getting late. So he was accepted and Jim his father drove both of us to the University for our first real adventure away from Perth.
And so life went on.

Please accept our deepest condolences. Ken was such a kind and loving man. From the touching obituary it’s clear that Ken lived life to the fullest, and loved to surround himself with friends and family. It’s very hard saying goodbye to someone so loved. But wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories. May they bring you some peace and comfort in this difficult time.
