It was heartwarming to see Cameron‘s family and friends come together to pay tribute to this remarkable person. From Cam’s oldest friends from Manor Park, Merrickville and new neighbours in Perth, he touched our lives with his grace, companionship and joie de vivre. We all had a special relationship with Cameron because Cam was special.
I extend my sincere condolences to Mary and Anthony, his stalwart supporters to the very end. I appreciate their thoughtful arrangements for Cameron‘s service and the character and tone of our sad farewell will long endure. They have accomplished a special service to their beloved Cam, their amazing parents and to all of us.
My friendship with Cameron spanned some 58 years. Fond and vivid memories of our idyllic childhood give me some comfort-truly the adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn!. We were ‘river rats’; I experienced so much about life ,nature and true friendship from my kind and fun loving companion.Cameron’s characteristic courage and fortitude touched my soul and changed me forever. We were best friends. Cameron will always be my pal.
Love and Respect

Cameron was fond of his cats and animals in general. Our conversation was full of glee & laughter. Cam's challenges were our own he made the best in communicating with me and too every person. He engaged in spontaneous dance and song.. He was a special person to us all...

Cameron was my first puppy-love. We shared many wonderful memories in our youth along with Nigel, Mark, Steve, Jimmy, Katie and many others. I wonder if our initials are still carved in the fence we hung out on in Manor Park. We spent countless weekends at Miles circle down by the Ottawa River hiking and searching for treasures. I remained friends with Cameron but lost our connection shortly after his accident. I never forgot him and his beautiful laugh and love of life and adventure. Friends meant everything to him. He remains in my memory. RIP Love Debbie (Dodd) Assaly

Cameron had a smile that would light up a room.
I’m grateful to have counted him as a great childhood friend. I recall fondly all the adventures we had growing up in Manor Park with Debbie, Nigel & all the gang!
Those were the days❤️
Rest in peace knowing the world was a better place with you in it my friend.
Sincere condolences to his family & friends.

Steve & Betsy Hanson - Cam was a close friend of mine for many years when we were teenagers in Manor Park - My wife Betsy and I met him again in the '80's and we used to hang out a lot then - Cam and did a lot of stuff together that I will never forget - He was a solid guy I trusted when I needed his help and he always took risks and came through with style - I really liked him a lot and my wife thought he was truly remarkable - Our condolences to all who knew and loved him and especially to his family - Rest in peace Cam
