We were so sad to find out today that Clayton had passed away. We have such fond memories of him at Bass Lake as we were his neighbours two doors over for many years. We spent a few afternoons sitting on his patio having a drink and looking at the lake. He was a very special man and he was so proud of his place, always working on it and making it look so nice. I stopped in last fall at his home and visited him. He always had to time to talk to a friend. My husband and I will keep his memory with us always. Our condolences to all of his family. My sympathies go out to the family members of Clayton’s. What great, classy man he was without question. Clayton gave myself, Dan and friends our first summer job ripping up the floor of a CP terminal floor in SF. Many hockey trips with much fun throughout our childhood and Clayton always ensure everyone had fun. To the Holbrook Family My sincere condolences to all the family on the passing of Clayton. I have had the privilege of knowing Clayton for over 50 years and always looked forward to visits either through Rotary or at the funeral home. He was a “Gentleman” in every sense of the word. He will be missed but you have had the extreme good fortune to have him for these 90 plus years. I had the pleasure of having a wonderful time with him at our Rotary dinner in the fall, a short time before we left for Florida. It is a memory I will cherish. Stan Blair

Hello "Hober", I'm so sorry to hear of your father's passing. We were always welcomed into your home by your Mom & Dad, even in the wee hours of the morning when we would clean out the fridge to wrap up a night after a few "pops". Some great memories. Also, I remember the day your dad asked us to tear down the back room extension on your house. We had way too much fun that day. Always appreciated your dad giving me a job at the rail yards.
