Glenn was a good guy, friend and neighbour. He had a fun-loving outlook on life. We shared his love of music, tv, movies and comedy and Glenn had an encyclopedic knowledge of all.
I also enjoyed playing golf with Glenn. He would lighten up the day (in-between bad shots) with one-liners from W.C. Fields, Groucho etc.
Glenn will be missed.
Our sincere condolences to Janice and family.

“ Well, we're big rock singers
We got golden fingers
And we're loved everywhere we go
(That sounds like us)
We sing about beauty and we sing about truth
At ten thousand dollars a show (right)
We take all kind of pills that give us all kind of thrills
But the thrill we've never known
Is the thrill that'll get ya when you get your picture
On the cover of the Rolling Stone”
Mr Walker and company pdci talent show circa 2000
Mr Walker understood that everything is better if it can be fun. His indelible sense of humour permeated everything he did in life. He made it seem as if every student was the only student in class and i can literally remember specific lessons he taught due to his humorous delivery more than twenty years after the lessons. A true character, he was one of those people who really had things figured out. He had his special way with everyone. I read on one of the other condolences in regards to his use of nicknames and it really rings true with me. He started calling me “Bradford” within a week or two of being in his law class and twenty years later he was still calling me that when i would run into him on his walks around town, or when he was out on the town with the other retired teaching lads, LLoyd, Dave, and the rest of the crew. It was always fun to stop on the street and have a funny conversation. He was always with a smile. He will be greatly missed by our community.

Dear Janice and Family,
As a new teacher, many years ago, I still remember sharing a work space with Glenn who quickly nicknamed me "Rook" (he had many nicknames for his colleagues!). This was the start of a wonderful mentorship and I am grateful for the advice, kindness and generosity he shared with me. Both Janice and Glenn included me in visits to their home and were a source of support and friendship. It has been many years since we have been in touch, but Glenn's impact on his students and colleagues will live on.

Please accept the heartfelt sympathy of our family to your family at the loss of Glenn. He will be remembered by me as a great colleague at work and the “best” card player. His stories were always entertaining. Whenever I watch the movie “A Christmas Story” it makes me think of him and his stories of his childhood that were comparable to the movie.

Janice it is so hard to find the words to express how sincerely sorry we are for the loss of your beloved Glenn. In the short few years since we met in Palm Springs, yours and Glenn's friendship has meant so much to Faye and I. It feels like we have known you both all of our lives and truly wish that was the case. Becky and Leslie we have never met however your dad and Janice have always talked about how much they care and enjoy your company. You can be so proud of your dad and we know you are.
If it wasn't for the airline having such limited options here out of Winnipeg and return, I would have been there to honor Glenn, my dear friend and Janice who we love dearly.
Our thoughts and prayers will be with you over the coming days and throughout the adjustment period that lays ahead.
Please accept our sincere condolences.

Glenn was a wonderful Uncle to our children William, Amy and Dana. The building of DOMY says it all.
We were so blessed to spent many holidays together. Card games, movies, bake beans and potato casserole will always be my memories of Glenn.
Glenn definitely made me a better Crib player. He also made the best Aquafit Playlist for me. So much music and such a great ear for a good moving tune!
Love you, Glenn
