Obituary of Marie Tysick
Peacefully at the Belleville General Hospital, on April 10th, 2023, Marie passed away at the age of 80. She was the cherished mother of Sherry (Les) Tysick-Polmateer, and the treasured grandmother of Justin Slute, Becky Slute and Justin Polmateer. Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband Ross Tysick and her son Brian Tysick. She was the dear sister of Arnold (Shirley) Miller, John (Hazel) Miller and Lorena (Marty McAvella). Dear sister-in-law of Victor (Shirley) Tysick, Vincent (Sandra) Tysick, George (Theresa) Tysick, Joyce Fleming and Eleanor (Melvin McDougall). She was a devoted aunt to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews and a great-great-great aunt.
Marie was born in Elphin and was a school custodian for many years. Marie and Ross had a cottage on Bob’s Lake and shared many happy, loving memories for all. She was a strong, loving woman, who loved her children and grandchildren immensely. Marie loved to cook and entertain and insisted everyone ate until they were overflowing. (Marie, you are going to be dearly missed).
Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. W. Perth, on Wednesday April 12th, 2023 from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Marie’s funeral service will be held in the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth Chapel on Thursday, April 13th, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. Interment will take place later in the spring in Bolingbroke Cemetery. In honour of Marie, memorial contributions to either the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or any charity of your choice would be appreciated.
