Obituary of Arnie Nixon

Nixon, William Arnold 
Nov. 26th 1937 - April 20th 2023 
Arnie passed away peacefully amongst friends and family at the Perth Site of the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital at the age of 85. He was the son of John and Letta Nixon and the beloved husband of Donna Lee Nixon (Carriveau). Arnie will always remain in the hearts of his wife Donna, his daughter Kim Mathison (Shanon) and his 3 grandsons: Joel, Noah, and Nathan Mathison. He will be fondly remembered by many close friends and extended family. Arnie was a well-known Electrician in town for many years and volunteered for 37 years on the Perth Fire Department. In 2001 he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame with the Perth Blue Wings. Playing hockey, fishing trips, golfing, hunting, get-aways to the cabin with Alex, making maple syrup at the farm, watching his grandsons grow up, gardening and spending time uptown with friends blessed Arnie with wonderful memories over the years.
In remembrance of Arnold, memorial contributions can be made to the Royal Canadian Legion - Branch 244, Perth or to Conlon Farm. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth.
