Hi Norma, Ruby and I learned of Bob's death from Bea Richardson and Barb McGonigal this morning at our exercise group. We send our sincere condolences. It seems like we have know you both forever at Trinity Church and in town. I always admired Bob as a hard working letter carrier who always had time for a chat when we met on the streets of town. My deepest thoughts and prayers to Norma and all the family. Bob and Norma took us under their wings when we first came to Trinity United Church. Bob took Chuck for a tour around Smiths Falls and shared his wealth of information of the history of this town and our church. Bob gave us many evenings of playing cards and sharing meals with us. He was a kind, generous and loving man and will be greatly missed by everyone who had the honour to know him. My two favorite memories are...On their special anniversary when he surprise Norma with a cake and a beautiful picture at one of our Social times. The other is every Christmas he made sure all the special women in his life got a box of chocolates and I was fortunate to be on his list. Rest in peace Bob and know you will never be forgotten and will hold a piece in our hearts.

Norma, my sympathy to you and your family with the loss of Bob. I remember being at a Shriner dinner where Bob was honoured for all the work that he had done in gathering pop cans. Although he was not a Shriner, he was certainly dedicated to the cause.

I baby sat for Bob and Norma 45 years ago. Fred was small and little Sarah was still in diapers. Bob was a kind, gentle man and a very hard worker. He will be so missed. Norma, Barb, Fred , Sarah and families My sincere condolences to you all at this difficult time ! I will truly miss Bob . He was a fun guy who would give his shirt to help out people ! He was always there to lend a hand if my dad needed a co-pilot for a load of livestock to the sale barn ! May he now meet with those gone before him ! He will watch over you all !
