Obituary of Ronald Glenn McAdam

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Buddy McAdam, after a short illness at the Smiths Falls Hospital, at the age of 88.  Buddy will be fondly remembered for his many athletic abilities and accomplishments, and especially for his devotion and support to all his past and present family members and friends.  He is predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Gracie McAdam (nee Gallipeau), his son Randy McAdam, his father and mother Nick and Pearl (nee Foster) McAdam, his brother, Sammy McAdam, his father-in-law and mother-in-law Arthur and Sadie (nee White) Gallipeau, his brother-in-law Dr. Tom Hayes, his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joan (nee Gallipeau) and Ron Cassell, and his great-grandson Brock Pilon. Buddy leaves behind his daughter Deborah (Bob) Mitchell, his grandsons Allan Pilon, Gregory (Krtisten) Pilon, Austin Mitchell (Jenny Thompson) and Laura Mitchell (Matt Therrien); his great-grandchildren Taylor, Joshua, Mathew, Brennan and Bryce Pilon. He will be sadly missed by his loving and caring companion Marian Armstrong, his sisters Linda (Dr. David) Head, and Janice Hayes, his sister-in-law Claire McAdam, and his brother-in-law Joe (Diane) Gallipeau.  He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his extended family, and many good friends.  Family and friends are invited to Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls for a service to celebrate Buddy's life on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 11 a.m.  Interment will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery.  At the conclusion of the interment, all are invited for a reception at the Blair & Son Reception Centre. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Lanark County Alzheimer Society.
