Obituary of Carol Ann Horne (nee Halka)
April 7th, 1954 – August 30th, 2023
Passed away peacefully at the Perth hospital with her loving husband, Bradley of 48 years, at her side. Predeceased by her parents Paul and Mary Halka. Cherished mother to Jennifer (Chris) Swallow, Matthew (MifAnne) and Julie (Shawn Bolton). Proud grandmother of Evan, Abigail, Thomas, Garrett, Brycen, Westley, Brody, and Joseph. Carol Ann is survived by her sister Nancy (Clarence) Timmons, brother Ron (Heather Norris) Halka, brother-in-law Neil (Grace) Horne, sister-in-law Faith (Thomas) Brownell, brother-in-law Jim (Marlene) Horne, and sister-in-law Karen (RJ Ferguson) King. Carol Ann will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
As per Carol Ann’s wishes, a private family graveside service will be held. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life Sunday, September 17th, 2023, 1:00pm-5:00pm, Bradley and Carol Ann’s home, 1610 Tennyson Road, Perth.
The family extends a special thank you to those who helped care for Carol Ann, including the doctors, nurses and support staff on the second floor of the Perth hospital and nurse Leslie Richmond who cared for her at home. In remembrance and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Perth & Smith Falls District Hospital Foundation – Perth Site or The Ottawa Hospital Foundation – Cancer Research would be greatly appreciated.
