Passed peacefully at the Smiths Falls Hospital on Friday, September 15,2023 at the age of 93.  Beloved husband and best friend of Muriel, 69 years married.  Loved father of Julie Anne (Chris) Vanderven and Brad (Lisa) Rhiness.  Sadly missed by his grandchildren Nathan, Jared, Hillary and Evan.  Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Daisy (Norton) Rhiness, brothers Norton, Jesse, Arthur, Leonard and sister Daisy.  Survived by brother Patrick.  Rocky will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. 

Rocky’s commitment to those he loved carried him to many personal achievements.  He retained good memories of growing up on the family farm in Huntsville. Rocky never lost his love of farming the land and was happiest enjoying everything nature had to offer.  He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by family and friends.

Private family services will take place with interment at Hutcheson Memorial Cemetery, Huntsville at a later date.  Arrangements are in care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Smiths Falls.
