Obituary of John Frederick Smith

Passed peacefully at home with family by his side on September 22, 2023. John leaves behind his beloved wife Terry Smith (nee Malo), and their daughters Lindsay (Jaimi Pollard) and Keirsten (Neil Pothier). He will be deeply missed by his sisters Beverley MacAllister (the late Jim), and Enid Thompson (the late Terry); as well as his many nieces, nephews, and extended families. John was predeceased by his parents Vibert and Muriel Smith (nee Oswald). John will be remembered as a man who loved deeply and was extraordinarily devoted to his family. He loved teaching others more than anything, no matter what field he worked in he was always willing to share his knowledge and skills. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) would be greatly appreciated by the family.
