Obituary of David Garfield Bruce
Suddenly at home on Wednesday, September 20th, 2023 our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away surrounded by his loving wife and family. Dave was predeceased by his parents Rev. Garfield and Margaret "Frances" Bruce (nee Crawford). He will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Dorothy Anne Bruce (nee Helmer), His children Andrew David Bruce (Shirley) and Tricia. Dear grandfather of Eric, Christopher, Kandace, Cameron, Kaylie, Kerri Ann, and Karolyn, great-grandfather of Isaac and Dawson. Dave was the cherished brother of Emily Jean Fournier-Johnson (Wayne). He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A celebration of Dave’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion - Branch 625 (Richmond, Ontario) on Saturday, October 21st, 2023 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm. In remembrance of Dave, contributions to the Lanark, Leeds & Grenville Mental Health Association would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Perth.
