Obituary of Wendell Major Fitchell

Passed peacefully with family by his side at the Ottawa Civic Hospital on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at the age of 81.  Survived by his beloved wife and best friend Sheila (nee Edwards) and his daughter Laurie Fitchell, his sons Cornelius (Janice) and Jeremy (Julie); and fondly remembered by his grandchildren Cole, Ethan, and Rowan. Predeceased by his father John (Jack) Fitchell, and his mother Victoria (nee Major).  Wendell is also predeceased by his seven siblings and will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews extended family and friends. All are welcome to pay their respects at the Blair and Son Funeral home, Smiths Falls, on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 6-8 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis de Sales Church on Saturday at 1pm.  Interment to follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetary. In remembrance donations can be made to St. Francis de Sales Church Building Fund.
