Sharon: Donna & Doug McIntyre would like too pass on our sincere condolences too you & your family on Bob’s passing. I’m sorry my message is late but we’re at our winter home in Florida. As your likely know Bob was in my life for more than 30 years as my boss with Loblaws. To me Bob was the glue that held all the managers together. During my 40 years with Loblaws Bob was the most honest & fair person in all the top management. He treated me like an equal & this made my journey so much more enjoyable. We will be thinking of you & your family on the 24th.

No words can express how sad we are to lose Rob so suddenly. Friends for over 40 years, we will miss his ability to make everyone laugh, most of the time at crazy things he did. We will always have fond memories of the many trips and family get togethers we had over the years with Rob, Sharon and the girls. We have lost a great friend.

We were so saddened to receive the news of Bob’s passing. Bob was a coworker, a boss and a friend and our memories go back many years. We will remember fondly the trips together, playing cards, dinners together, fishing, golfing and even competing in our version of the Olympic Games. Bob was hard working and he cared about his employees. Bob’s greatest pride was his relationship with Sharon and his family. He always shared his stories of his family with love and laughter. Our deepest condolences go out to Sharon, his girls, grandkids and extended family and friends. We will carry his memory in our hearts.

Bob was not only a great Boss who cared about the business and the people he worked with, a loving father and grandfather who loved to talk about the kids with such pride he was truly a great friend! We had so many belly laughs, shared our challenges and victories, took vacations together and made some great memories we cherish with so much affection! Bob, you left us too early and we will miss you dearly! Thanks for the memories and when we think about the past you put a smile on our face and love in our hearts. Love Paul & Fran

Days of Christmas Visits, Mr McDaniel shared the spirit of the season , on one particular Christmas visit he asked me to step out of the dept. He never took all the credit from his Toronto group he shared the seasonal experience and put faces on the Help, I will remember that Christmas tour in my heart and reflection of this year's holiday season. It was years after i got the privilege to call him Bob. My sincere condolences to Sharon and family.

Sharon and girls,
I remember Bob from the store, just by shopping, many years ago, and you could tell that he stood out, not too many employees in companies you remember when you are just a shopper, and usually you are just a number, but when you see one that stands out, that is so nice and caring for the public, you know that they must be truly loving and caring at home, remembering what a wonderful husband and father you had will help with the pain of his loss, he will be missed by so many. May he rest in peace and know that he made such a difference in the lives of so many people.
Sincerely,
Holly Jordan-Lillie

I was lucky enough to know Rob personally and was hired to work in the old Carlingwood store where he was my first store manager. Such a great manager to all. He was always an employee manager who was there if you needed anything. My parents and aunt and uncle owned a double home next to the McDaniels family so we had different babysitters from their house, nicest people ever. My Dad bought a couple of cars from their Dad when he was a car salesman, you can see the apple does not fall too far, as Mr McDaniel was a very kind man as well. Rest in peace Rob and know how respected you were by so many. Sharon and family he will never be forgotten, as you can see from so many people remembering him.

Sharon, and family, Bob was the most human and by far the best boss I ever had in over 30 years with a few employers and many managers in the supermarket industry myself. I cannot imagine the sudden loss you all feel. Take all the time you need to heal. Lean on each other and on close friends. Bob will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Sincerest condolences to you all.

I am deeply saddened by the news of Bob's passing. I was very fortunate to get to work with Bob for years. He always took a personal interest in my life and what I had going on. If I was having a rough day he would lend a hand and try to make things better. Sharon and his family was Bob's whole life. He was so proud of his daughter's and grandchildren, I got to hear up to date stories on how they were all doing. The world has lost a great man. My deepest sympathies to Sharon and family.
