Obituary of James Christopher Doyle

Passed away with family by his side at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, following a brief illness on Monday, November 27, 2023, at the age of 51.  Beloved husband and best friend for more than 28 years to Jane (nee Showler).  Loving and devoted father of Zachary (Jaden) and Andrew (Desiree); and was the cherished son of Larry and Linda (nee Derbyshire) Doyle.  He will be sadly missed by his brother Larry (Shannon) Doyle. Jamie is predeceased by his mother-in-law and his father-in-law, Harry and Helen Showler.  He will be fondly remembered by his brother-in-law David (Wendy) Showler and Stephen (Linda) Showler, his nieces, and nephews; nieces Rianne (Travis), Keara and Layne Doyle and Katie, Emily, Kristie, Michael, Whitney, and Brett Showler. Jamie was dedicated to so many initiatives in the town of Smiths Falls.  He was most proud of his involvement as a coach and President of the Smiths Falls Renegades Football Association.  He was a loyal friend and will be sorely missed by so many, including numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  Friends are welcome to a Memorial Mass taking place at St. Francis de Sales Church on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11 a.m.  Private interment will take place at a later date.  A reception to celebrate his life will follow at the Blair & Son, Smiths Falls Reception Centre.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
