Vernon Claire Dodds

January 10, 1939 - November 25, 2023

It is with sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Vernon Claire Dodds at the Perth District Hospital on November 25, 2023 in his 84th year.

Claire was the dearly loved brother of Elmer (Heather) Dodds. He was predeceased by his parents Garnett and Hazel (Bass), his brothers Alvin and Lyle, his daughter Heather, his second wife Phyllis (Freeman) and his loved partner of 30 years Barb Willmott.

He is survived by his first wife Marion (Purdon), his children and grandchildren. Uncle Claire will be fondly remembered by his nieces and especially his nephew Terry who was there to assist him in his later years, for which Claire was grateful.

To Claire there was no better place to live than on the family farm on the Scotch Line. Claire worked hard all his life and was always glad to help out his family and friends. Besides working the farm, Claire was employed by Dodds & Erwin Feed Store in Perth for over 46 years.

A private funeral will be held by the family at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of Blair & Son Funeral Directors, Perth.
