Harper, Joan nee Dowdall
Joan passed away in Kingston hospital on Friday December 22nd, 2023 at the age of 90 years. She was predeceased by her parents William “Bill” and Margaret “Peg” Dowdall, her husband Delwyn “Del” Harper, son Dee Harper, daughter-in-law Julie Harper, grandchildren Jordan and Jenna Harper and siblings Jean Laing, Jack Dowdall, Shirley Mackler, Kenneth Dowdall and Eleanor Saunders. Joan will be sadly missed by her children Beth (Brian) Campbell, Sheldon Harper, Joy (Peter) Sullivan, Terry Harper, and Tracy (Scott) Botham. She was the proud grandmother of 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren. Joan will be fondly remembered by daughter-in-law Wendy Harper, sister-in-law Sharon Dowdall, brother-in-law Jack Mackler, all her family and friends.
Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Tuesday December 26th, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. and Wednesday December 27th, 2023 from 9:30 until service at 10:30 AM. A reception in the Blair & Son Family Centre will follow the service. Interment will take place in the Highland Line Cemetery, McDonalds Corners. In remembrance, memorial donations to the Lanark Lodge Resident’s Fund or the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated.
