Ronald G. Learmonth

It is with profound sadness that we announce Ron’s peaceful passing at Almonte, Ontario on December 25, 2023 after a lengthy illness. He was in his 82^nd year. He was dearly loved by his children Christopher John (Lianne) of Carleton Place, and Mary Jane of Newmarket. Beloved grandfather of Sabrina Tremblay of Île Bizard, Quebec. Predeceased by his parents Orville and Jane (Linton) Learmonth, and brother David Learmonth; all of Smiths Falls. After 47 years, Ron is reunited with his wife Sharron (Neville).

Ron grew up in Smiths Falls and enjoyed a lengthy career in the banking industry. In his younger years he excelled in a variety of sports. In later years he loved cheering Chris on and sharing the nightly scores. Visits to MJ’s to hang out with Sox were equally fun. Ron was extremely proud of his kids accomplishments and he will be sadly missed by all of his friends and family.  A private family interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery.  All are welome to attend Ron's Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 13th from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. at Rob Roys Pub and Restaurant, 33 Centre St., Smiths Falls.  Donations in memory of Ron may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
