Obituary of Donna Marie Nesbitt

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Donna Marie Nesbitt (Macrow). She endured a long hard fought battle with dementia and passed away peacefully at home on January 21st, 2024 at the age of 75. She leaves behind her soulmate and husband Donald Nesbitt, her daughter Karen Cassell and her grandson Noah Cassell. She will be deeply missed by her brother John (Connie) Macrow, as well as many family members and friends. She is predeceased by her son Thomas Nesbitt and parents Phyllis (nee Fraser) and Fred Macrow.

Donna spent most of her life as a highschool Science and Cooperative Education teacher in Smiths Falls. She adored her students and colleagues and had a meaningful, successful career in teaching for many years.

She was kind, caring and had a great passion for life. She took pride in her beautiful flower gardens at home and loved to cook and entertain family and friends. She was one of a kind and a true gem!

To honour Donna, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In remembrance, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Lanark Leeds & Grenville.
