Obituary of Shirley Myers

Peacefully at the Perth Site of the Perth & Smiths Falls District Hospital, Shirley passed away on Thursday, January 18^th, 2024 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Donald Warren Myers, Shirley was the loving mother of William (late Linda), Brian and Kathy (Pierre), Predeceased by Murray, Carla, Karen and Robert. She was the cherished Nanny of Carla (John), Randy (Stephanie), Tamara (Pete), Desiree (Dylan) and Shane (Katrina), and the great-Nanny of Reid (Cassie), Jesse (Madi), Joshua, Gaige (Delaney), Johnathan, Samuel, Addison, Joey, Manning, Hunter, Riley, Rory, Barrett, Camden and Zeke. Beloved great-great Nanny of Brooks. Shirley will be dearly missed by her siblings Holly (Carl), Judy (Sam), Jane (Ron), Eleanor and Rodney, predeceased by Margaret, Betty, Ricky and Billy. Shirley loved her family immensely and dedicated her life to them. She worked at Brown Shoe factory for a number of years, and volunteered her time with Al Anon and A.A. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St. West, Perth on Wednesday, January 24^th, 2024 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, January 25^th, 2024 at 10:00am. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery. In remembrance of Shirley, donations to Easter Seals (Merrywood Camp) or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
